Northeast Ohio Darts: Terms of Participation & Liability Waiver

NOTICE: BY STEPPING TO THE OCHE, YOU ARE AGREEING TO THESE TERMS.

At Northeast Ohio Darts (NOD), we are for the player, by the player. Part of that means treating everyone equally, and according to their age. This league is built on personal responsibility. If you choose to play, you choose to accept the risks.

1. Acceptance of Terms (No Signature Required) By participating in any Northeast Ohio Darts event, league night, or tournament, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this waiver. You understand that your physical presence and participation in the game serve as your "digital signature" and agreement to be bound by these terms.

2. Assumption of Risk (The Game) Darts involve sharp objects and competitive play. By participating, you accept that there is a potential risk of injury. You accept sole responsibility for any injury, medical costs, or damages you may incur while playing, watching, or being present at any Northeast Ohio Darts event.

3. Alcohol & Establishments NOD events take place in establishments that serve alcohol. You acknowledge that:

• Northeast Ohio Darts is the organizer of the dart event only, not the server of alcohol.

• You are responsible for your own consumption and behavior.

• You waive any and all claims against Northeast Ohio Darts related to the actions of intoxicated persons, alcohol-related accidents, or incidents occurring within or around these establishments.

4. Release of Liability You hereby release, waive, and discharge Northeast Ohio Darts (and its organizers) from any and all liability, claims, or legal proceedings. This includes, but is not limited to, personal injury, property damage, or "slip and fall" incidents. You agree that you—and you alone—are responsible for your safety and legal standing.

5. Indemnification If your actions result in legal proceedings against NOD, you agree to indemnify the organization and cover all legal fees, costs, and settlements associated with that action.

Bottom Line: We’re here to throw darts and have a good time. If you don't agree with these terms, please do not sign-up to throw within this league or participate in any Northeast Ohio Darts sanctioned tournaments or events.
